VP of Software Engineering / Product Development

Job Description:

Reporting to the President, this senior leadership position will partner with other senior team members on a long term technology roadmap. This position integrates all Software Development disciplines and specialty groups into a team effort forming a structured development process that proceeds from the concept to production to test to operation.

1. Articulate implementation strategies, technologies, architectures, people skills and processes to achieve repeatable performance and to gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

2. Drive results through inspired leadership and accountability with a focused and disciplined approach to product development consistent with best practices in the company and the industry.

3. Demonstrate the skill sets necessary to lead others and to define processes that directly and efficiently support the company vision, mission, and goals.

4. Establish and maintain internal design reviews and guidelines for product development and engineering processes.

5. Plan and allocate appropriate engineering resources for projects and provide scheduling, people resources, asset allocation, budgets and estimates at completion.

6. Design and implement process changes which support Company's Quality initiatives.

7. Oversee our technology group to achieve synergies and maximize the value of all Innovation resources.

8. Interface and communicate with internal customers to solidify a "team" relationship along with resolving technical and programmatic issues.

9. Empower team members to achieve their best through collaboration and achievement of common goals.

Education Requirements:

-Solid expertise in the software development field (BS in Computers or related fiels) coupled with resource management skills and at least 5-10 years of experience in management of Software Development for clients.
-Proven expertise at leading a Software Development Department
-Strong Leadership ability
