Microwave Engineer opening in Kansas City

Job overview:

-Must have experience in the design, planning, and implementation of reliable microwave network. Microwave path planning including map study, use of GIS tools, traffic routing design; preparation of channel planning diagrams and route maps; perform link budgets and system planning reports; perform pre-installation surveys, radio paths surveys; coordinate with path survey providers; preparation of documents for frequency coordination; preparation of FCC license applications; detail design of equipment installation for power, grounding, antenna lines and antenna to meet client and electrical code requirements; and preparation of procurement specifications and supporting cost estimates.

-Familiarity with conversion existing systems from analog to digital. Basic understanding of project management principles with some project management experience.

Management Skills:

-The ability to meet schedule deadlines and budget targets.
-Attention to detail with good communication skills both written and verbal.

Essential Job Qualifications:

Ideal candidate should have a Bachelor`s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5 or more years of experience. Emphasis on telecommunications is preferred.

-PE registration and/or RCDD Certification desirable but not required.
-Skills: Microsoft Office; Knowledge of microwave planning tools such as Pathloss.
