Responsibilities:
-Works with users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, security violations and programming changes.
-Monitors use of data files and systems, and regulates access to safeguard information.
-Develop plans to safeguard computer files and systems against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure.
-Develops security standards, procedures, guidelines and policies such as user authentication rules and security auditing procedures.
-Works collaboratively with infrastructure and development teams to ensure new and existing infrastructure, software, hardware, architecture and applications are deployed in a secure manner.
-Provides advice and practical assistance on information security risk and control matters throughout the organization.
-Leads or facilitates the preparation and implementation of information security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
-Leads or facilitates information security awareness, training and educational activities.
-Proactively assesses potential items of risk and vulnerabilities in the network.
-Advises the organization on information security technologies and related regulatory issues.
-Manages implementation of Information Security programs and efforts, including:
-Development of security strategy, project planning and execution.
-Performing security analysis and recommendations during SDLC (System Development Life Cycle).
-Performing vendor selection for information security related solutions.
-Managing third-party security vendors.
-Evaluates and responds to customer issues and requests.
-Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
-Establishing business centric Information security metrics.
