Running Simple Boolean Searches.
The logic behind running a Boolean search is very simple. Basically, by using words such as AND, OR, and AND NOTm you can quickly cut through a database to find results that you are looking for.
AND Searches:
Java and JSF – this search will return everything that has these 2 words displayed in the data being searched.
OR Searches:
Java or JSF – this search will return everything that has one or the other work displayed in the data being searched.
AND NOT Searches:
Java AND NOT JSF – this search will return everything that has Java displayed in the results and does not have JSF as well in the data.
Phrase Searches:
Utilize “” when looking for a specific phrase – “Java Developers” this search will return all data that has the Java Developers phrase in the data
