Network Engineer / Analyst / Topeka, KS

The Network Analyst is responsible for the day to day support of the network infrastructure to provide stable and dependable connectivity. This role will collaborate with associates, business partners, vendors, and IT staff to resolve hardware and software issues and escalate issues as appropriate. This role allows the opportunity to participate in unique projects with deliverables in addition to the regular responsibilities of supporting the network infrastructure. The Network analyst will need to possess a good understanding of the following:

1. Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software pertaining to network equipment.

2. Utilize network management tools to identify network faults. The ability to analyze a packet trace. (Net scout nGenius Performance Manager, Net scout Infinistream, Stat seeker)

3. Provides second/third level support to end users by efficiently working helpdesk tickets as they are routed to the Network and Telecommunications department.

4. LAN/WAN management experience. Cisco experience a plus. (This reads CCNA) Good understanding of dynamic routing protocols used in a network environment. (OSPF, BGP)

5. 802.11x wireless experience including implementation, configuration, and ongoing support. (Aruba)

6. WAN Optimization experience using appliances specialized in this function. (Riverbed Steelhead)

7. DNS/DHCP configuration, management, and support. Understanding and experience in supporting a DNS/DHCP environment. (Infoblox)

8. Application Load Balancing configuration, implementation, and support. (F5 LTM).

9. Understanding of Firewall Policy Management. (Access, NAT) (Juniper)

10. Juniper VPN configuration, implementation, and support. Juniper NSM experience if possible.
