Junior JAVA opening in Montgomery, AL

Job Description:

Currently seeking a full-time JAVA Application Developer. The successful candidate should be creative and have the insight to develop custom applications from functional specifications and company documented software standards. The applicant should have experience working with the UNIX operating system and have a strong knowledge of database interfacing (JDBC, SQL, etc.).

-This company builds and manages interactive services web sites

Requirements:

·Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline
(degree preferred, but will consider candidates with strong programming background)

·At least 2 years of experience programming Web-based applications using JAVA.

·Familiarity with J2EE APIs (e.g. Servlets, JSP, JDBC) and industry-standard technologies (e.g. Ant, Eclipse, Struts, Resin/Tomcat or other servlet container, SOAP/XML/Axis/ other Web services technologies)

·Familiarity with Web service technologies.

·In-depth familiarity with routine UNIX commands and systems administration tasks

·Experience with PERL a plus
