The Sourcing Manager is responsible for procurement of capital project equipment and services. The Sourcing Manager will work closely with all departments and manage commercial activities related to multiple capital projects simultaneously.
The Sourcing Manager will have the following responsibilities:
-Lead procurement and commercial activities for capital projects.
-Ability to write, review, and read purchasing contracts.
-Develop bidder’s lists and send inquiries to qualified suppliers domestically and overseas.
-Ensure participation in bidding by company subsidiaries and affiliates.
-Provide guidance to engineers regarding appropriate commercial behaviors.
-Establish vigorous competition and employ appropriate negotiating techniques.
-Benchmark purchases against similar purchases.
-Identify and develop new suppliers to provide the best “total cost of ownership”.
-Maintain procurement files with RFQ’s, bids, analysis, communications, approvals, etc.
-Document supplier performance and resolve performance issues. (e.g. warranties)
-Maintain engineering service rate sheets and blanket orders.
-Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
-Four year degree in a business or engineering discipline
-College-level math ability to analyze and present costs accurately.
