We are looking for someone to take the leadership role in our web / usability design team. This is a full time position for someone experienced in creating leading edge user interfaces or web sites. We are looking for a tech-savvy designer.
This position is for a senior web designer with usability, design, human factors, and accessibility knowledge who can go in and change a bit of HTML or CSS as needed.
The successful candidate will be capable of creating engaging, visually appealing, intuitive and interactive web applications. The candidate must have considerable experience designing and developing web applications involving complex user workflows as opposed to designing simple web pages.
Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in launching successful interactive web applications as a key member of a web development or user experience team.
Experience leading design, development, or non-profit groups.
Comfortable designing interactive web sites / similar technologies and working with developers to execute the designs.
Able to create interactive prototypes of complex designs.
Experience with different user testing techniques and tools.
Knowledge of web browser compatibility issues and workarounds (Mac and PC).
Strong understanding of web standards.
Strong knowledge of accessibility laws and accessible development techniques.
Ability to drive multiple projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
